Job Summary

Lead and mentor Ontario bridge projects, driving preliminary and detailed bridge and civil structure design for federal, provincial, and municipal clients. Coordinate analysis, manage multidisciplinary teams, deliver drawings, specs and reports, and ensure QA/QC while supporting construction and proposal efforts across Ottawa/Kingston offices.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead the preliminary and detailed design of bridges and other civil structures for federal, provincial and municipal clients in Ontario and Canada
•Perform and coordinate structural analysis and design
•Manage bridge engineering projects, coordinate design teams, and support project management and technical teams across WSP
•Prepare engineering drawings, specifications and reports
•Provide QA/QC and peer-review services for designs and drawings

Key Requirements

•Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
•Professional Engineer licenced with PEO and 7-12 years of demonstrated experience in structural design and bridge engineering in Canada
•Master's degree in Structural Engineering is considered an asset
•Ability to work and converse in French is considered an asset
•Proficiency in structural analysis software and knowledge of current Canadian bridge codes and standards
