Job Summary

Join CHS’ Ag Retail accounting team in a hybrid finance role supporting the month-end close and financial reporting process. You’ll complete journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations, perform accounting analyses for accruals and reserves, and partner cross-functionally to support financial results. The role also includes SEC disclosure schedule support, Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) controls design and effectiveness, collaboration with auditors, and leading process improvements and transformation efforts while promoting a strong safety culture.

Key Responsibilities

•Ensure completion of monthly accounting activities including journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations for financial close
•Prepare, analyze, and review general ledger account reconciliations as part of month-end close
•Perform accounting and financial analyses to identify key trends and support estimates such as accruals and reserves
•Prepare SEC disclosure support schedules and perform, document, and support SOX controls design and operating effectiveness
•Collaborate with internal and external auditors and lead process improvement efforts to standardize, enhance systems, and improve reporting capabilities

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Economics, Business, Business Administration, or related field
•4+ years of experience in Finance and/or Accounting
•Knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
•CPA, CMA, or CFA certification
•Experience with SAP and Agris accounting software and proficiency in MS Office suite
