Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide operational and strategic leadership for assigned laboratory products under senior lab leadership.
  • •Monitor workflow to meet production goals and deadlines (e.g., TAT, SLA) and report executive-level production/department summaries.
  • •Manage staffing, labor, capital expenditures, and manufacturing performance; drive interview process, PTO, and overtime as needed.
  • •Oversee quality control/assurance, test completion per approved procedures, and support NCR closeouts and CAPA initiation/closeout.
  • •Ensure compliance with CLIA/CAP and departmental requirements, maintain safe/organized work areas, and coordinate with cross-functional teams (OPS, Accessioning, Engineering, Stats, R&D, Support).

Key Requirements

  • •BS/BA in Biological Sciences or related field (or equivalent).
  • •3+ years of leadership experience and/or effectively managing a team (preferred).
  • •5+ years of industry-related experience (preferred).
  • •ASCP board certification in Medical Technology or a California State CLS or CGMBS license (Clinical Genetics Molecular Biologist Scientist) is required.
  • •Experience with Laboratory Operations floor work and Lean Six Sigma concepts/tools is required/preferred.
