Job Summary

Grow and retain profitable commercial banking relationships for the Community Banking to Middle Market segment. Serve as a lending generalist, building customer relationships and evaluating business needs while delivering value-added financial solutions. Manage a $50M+ portfolio and prospect for $1M–$20M loan opportunities, booking C&I and Commercial Estate business with emphasis on C&I. Expand Centers of Influence through community networking and collaborate with internal business units to support customer goals.

Key Responsibilities

•Build relationships with customers and prospects to evaluate commercial banking needs, with major focus on lending and emphasis on cross-selling cash management, retail banking, mortgage, and wealth management.
•Assess business opportunities to ensure they meet prescribed profitability standards.
•Create and execute comprehensive business/calling/prospecting plans to maximize opportunities and relationships.
•Prospect for solid credits and relationships both inside and outside the bank’s historical footprint.
•Expand Centers of Influence through ongoing community networking and collaborate with non-commercial business unit representatives; may coach/mentor more junior lenders.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 87,500 - 150,000

Key Requirements

•Undergraduate degree in Business or related field, and 3+ years of experience in a commercial banking role (AVP level) with a proven track record of successful deals.
•Undergraduate degree in Business or related field, and 5+ years of experience in a commercial banking role (VP level) with a proven track record of successful deals.
•Proven relationship management skills and ability to establish rapport with business owners.
•Quantifiable credit skills and discernment about credit quality.
•Ability to comprehensively understand banking/financial needs of current and prospective customers.
