Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide specialist technical support for operation, maintenance, configuration, and testing of Hobart Class destroyer combat systems and equipment.
  • •Contribute to combat system readiness for Undersea Warfare (USW) and Electronics Warfare (EW) systems, including commissioning, trials, and defect resolution.
  • •Apply technical knowledge to identify, investigate, and resolve equipment and system issues.
  • •Conduct preventative and corrective maintenance on complex integrated combat systems to maintain performance and reliability.
  • •Interpret technical drawings, specifications, maintenance manuals, and test procedures to support maintenance and operational outcomes.

Key Requirements

  • •Hold a Cert III or above in Electronics/Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience).
  • •Demonstrated fault finding and troubleshooting of electronic/electrical equipment in a trade environment (highly desirable).
  • •Experience adhering to permits and safety procedures.
  • •Current Defence NV1 security clearance or eligibility to obtain.
  • •Eligibility to be cleared for International Traffic in Arms (ITAR) regulations.
