Lead the international network compliance risk management program for the EMEA payments network, advising on complex compliance risk issues and evolving laws, regulations, and expectations. Serve as an authority on compliance impacts to network and merchant services, monitor remediation plans, and build a high-performing compliance team. Partner across business and support groups to ensure activities remain within the compliance risk appetite while interfacing with regulators globally.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead and continuously improve the compliance risk management function for international network business operations, providing support, advice, and counsel on complex compliance risk issues.
•Serve as an authority on relevant and evolving compliance expectations, laws, and regulations and their impact on the business.
•Promote a culture of compliance risk management and balanced risk taking, including monitoring for process breakdowns and advising on corrective action.
•Interface with regulators and support interactions between regulatory bodies across the globe, including remediation monitoring for internal or regulatory findings.
•Build and lead a small team of compliance professionals and industry experts, overseeing people processes such as recruiting, performance management, training, and development.

Key Requirements

•Experience with global payments networks, regulations, and compliance risk, including responsibilities relative to third-party payment processors.
•Proven team leadership: experience building, motivating, and developing high-performing teams and attracting top talent.
•Experience managing regulatory requirements in a complex finance organization and maintaining relationships with relevant regulatory bodies.
•Demonstrated strategic vision for a compliance risk management organization, with strong business judgment and analytical capability to evaluate complex, multi-dimensional risks.
•Excellent communication and partnership skills with stakeholders at all levels, including external stakeholders such as regulators and consultants.
