Job Summary

Support TikTok’s Europe Tax team by advising, planning, structuring, and managing indirect tax (VAT) work across the UK and EU. You’ll translate business models into practical VAT requirements, drive tax strategy and implementation for new programs, products, services, and country launches, and stay current on European indirect tax developments. Partner with Legal and Finance, coordinate with external advisors and tax authorities, and help improve tax processes through ERP/IT tax technology implementations and automations.

Key Responsibilities

•Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand business models and craft VAT solutions aligned to operational goals.
•Define indirect tax requirements for existing and new programs/products and ensure practical implementation in internal systems.
•Develop and implement indirect tax requirements while coordinating cross-functional teams to deliver comprehensive VAT strategies.
•Research and evaluate European indirect tax developments and drive business and process changes to maintain compliance.
•Manage indirect tax projects, support engagements with external advisors and tax authorities, and help with tax technology implementations and automations using ERP/IT systems.

Key Requirements

•5+ years of relevant industry or professional consulting firm experience with professional tax qualification, chartered accountancy, or legal background.
•Expertise in international VAT across both B2C and B2B contexts.
•Strong communication skills with experience interfacing across all management levels.
•Proven ability to deliver results in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
•Self-starter mindset with experience in indirect tax compliance in the UK and the EU.
