Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide the full breadth of personal financial counseling services to service members and families at assigned military installations.
  • •Deliver education and counseling, including one-on-one sessions, briefings/presentations, and referrals outside counseling sessions.
  • •Assist service members in establishing spending plans for extended absences.
  • •Develop and distribute informational financial materials and coordinate/publicize Personal Financial Management classes and workshops across the military lifecycle.
  • •Work with installation and military branch POCs, communicate trends/issues, and complete required in-services/training and contract activities.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor's degree required; may consider associate degree plus 4 years’ experience or high school diploma plus 6 years’ experience.
  • •3+ years of financial counseling experience.
  • •Must be a U.S. citizen and speak fluent English.
  • •If required by the contract, must be bilingual in English and Spanish.
  • •Must have one of: Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), or Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC).
