Key Responsibilities

  • •Supervise employees involved in production and/or operation functions such as assembly, inspection, test, and final test for capital equipment and components/subassemblies/subsystems.
  • •Prioritize production schedules using manpower, equipment efficiency, capacity, and materials requirements; support performance metrics development and tracking and conduct milestone meetings.
  • •Respond to operations issues affecting customer satisfaction, act as an interface for customer/vendor requirements, and prepare cost-of-quality analyses to initiate corrective actions.
  • •Oversee accident and injury prevention and ensure all employees follow required EHS training and safety policies/procedures, including documentation.
  • •Develop personnel through training and career development; manage selection, hiring, rewards, discipline, and drive Lean, Safety, and Quality with corrective action.

Key Requirements

  • •Supervisory responsibility with ability to set priorities, coach employees, and manage performance management, including goal setting and coaching.
  • •Experience scheduling production based on manpower, equipment efficiency, capacity, and materials requirements, and driving cycle-time and other operational metrics.
  • •Ability to ensure timely resolution of operational issues impacting customer satisfaction and to analyze and improve cost-of-quality opportunities via corrective actions.
  • •Ensure departmental Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) compliance, including documented training for all employees (including temporaries) and implementation of safety policies and procedures.
  • •Ability to work extended periods standing and in clean-room environments, including use of personal protective equipment (e.g., coveralls, safety glasses, gloves, respirators).
