Job Summary

Work on Esri’s centralized Accessibility Team to evaluate ArcGIS product accessibility, especially ArcGIS Pro desktop offerings. Conduct manual and automated testing to identify issues, and create Accessibility Conformance Reports (ACRs) using VPAT information. Partner with designers, engineers, and product managers to embed accessibility best practices across the SDLC, support accessibility testing infrastructure, and engage the global community through presentations and published resources. Relocation support is available to the Redlands, CA area.

•Coordinate accessibility evaluations of ArcGIS products, including manual and automated testing to identify issues

•Coordinate accessibility testing tools, systems, and environments including testing, monitoring, and maintenance
•Maintain internal accessibility resources and coordinate testing events, and communicate accessibility practices externally through presentations and published materials

Key Requirements

•1+ years of relevant experience
•Familiarity with global accessibility standards and guidelines such as WCAG and Revised Section 508
•Experience performing accessibility testing on at least one software platform (web, desktop, or mobile Android/iOS)
•Experience with manual/automated accessibility evaluation using testing tools and assistive technologies (e.g., screen readers, screen magnifiers)
•Experience creating or contributing to Accessibility Conformance Reports (ACRs) and/or working with VPATs, plus a bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, user experience, or related field
