Job Summary

Lead architectural design and construction drawing production for major National Defence projects, coordinating multidisciplinary teams and consultants. Conduct internal model and drawing reviews to ensure BIM-standard compliance, research materials and technologies, and incorporate them into specifications and documentation. Provide technical and administrative oversight to deliver within cost, quality, and schedule targets, manage project financial planning and staffing, and communicate with clients. Travel to remote work sites and communities as needed.

Key Responsibilities

•Manage a team producing architectural design solutions and construction drawings.
•Manage a group of architectural staff, lead project meetings, and coordinate other disciplines on multi-disciplinary projects.
•Perform internal reviews and quality checks of models and drawings to ensure compliance with BIM standards.
•Research materials, products, and technologies required for design and incorporate them into details, specifications, and other documents.
•Provide technical and administrative oversight to meet cost, quality, and schedule targets; manage project financial planning and staffing, and communicate with clients.

Travel: Medium travel

Key Requirements

•Registered architect in Ontario (OAA), or eligibility to be registered.
•7+ years experience in a similar role.
•Familiarity with both Provincial and National related standards and codes.
•Knowledge of BIM principles & workflows, Revit software, AutoCAD software, Microsoft 365 environment and Bluebeam.
•Experience with visualization software and Adobe Creative Suite (asset).
