Key Responsibilities

  • •Act as the key, day-to-day client interface and ensure delivery of value-added cost management services.
  • •Estimate and negotiate change orders; produce and present final cost plans and updated cost plans at design milestones.
  • •Review and coordinate cost estimates with design services and general contractors; reconcile changes and validate contractor/subcontractor pricing.
  • •Manage cost impact/contingency, valuations, post-contract cost variances, and change control processes; produce monthly cost reports.
  • •Coordinate funding data and value engineering sessions; support final account negotiation and compile built cost records for benchmarking.

Key Requirements

  • •5-7 years of relevant experience in a cost management role in the construction industry.
  • •Bachelor’s degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering, or a related field.
  • •RICS accredited or working towards it is preferred.
  • •Experience leading cost management on medium to large construction projects with medium to high complexity.
  • •Strong construction industry knowledge including procurement routes, value management, and value engineering.
