Job Summary

Lead UX/UI design for complex, content-rich websites in a hands-on contract role. Drive discovery through interviews and research synthesis, create information architecture and content strategy, and produce wireframes, prototypes, and polished visual designs. Present recommendations clearly to clients and internal teams, and serve as a senior creative voice in pre-sales, proposals, and Kanopi thought leadership (webinars, blogs, case studies).

Key Responsibilities

•Lead project discovery by conducting interest-holder interviews and translating research into actionable design direction.
•Assess qualitative and quantitative data, and conduct UX/content/design audits to articulate findings to internal and client teams.
•Develop information architecture, navigation, sitemap, and content strategy (including tone, voice, and taxonomies).
•Create UX deliverables and design artifacts such as wireframes, page templates, interactive prototypes, full-fidelity visual comps, and responsive design systems.
•Contribute as a senior creative voice in sales and marketing by informing proposals/scopes and producing thought leadership content.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: CAD 50 - 70 hourly

Key Requirements

•Senior-level, hands-on UX/UI design experience for complex, content-rich websites with a portfolio showing discovery/strategy through high-fidelity visual design.
•Strong visual design craft (layout, typography, hierarchy, brand application, responsive design, accessible UI patterns).
•Advanced Figma skills, including prototyping, design systems, component workflows, and client-ready presentation files.
•Advanced knowledge of UX strategy, content strategy, information architecture, and content experience principles.
•Demonstrated experience in a creative agency environment with strong communication for designers, developers, and clients.
