Key Responsibilities

  • •Enforce entry and identification systems; man USMS authorized stationary posts and provide focused surveillance to detect threats before screening.
  • •Patrol court facilities and grounds per post orders; direct traffic/control lights where applicable; monitor vehicles and pedestrians.
  • •Stop, screen, inquire, and inspect vehicles and pedestrians entering or exiting; prevent passage of prohibited articles; escort individuals or vehicles when assigned.
  • •Provide security presence in the courtroom, enforce federal law and judicial orders, and may support courtroom security during hearings.
  • •Monitor alarms/radio traffic/electronic systems, dispatch/inform others as authorized, report incidents (including fire/burglary alarms and criminal acts), maintain required logs and records, and coordinate with law enforcement when needed.

Salary: USD 41.63

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or equivalent.
  • •Be at least 21 years of age and complete certified law enforcement training/academy providing police powers in an armed capacity for public interaction.
  • •Minimum 3 years of verifiable civilian law enforcement experience or equivalent US Armed Forces position with general arrest authority within the last 7 years.
  • •Pass pre-placement screening including criminal background check, credit bureau check, and Freedom of Information Act disclosure, plus drug test and physical exam.
  • •Possess a valid, unrestricted state driver’s license and fluently write coherent English reports; meet medical/physical fitness requirements and comply with felony/domestic violence conviction restrictions.
