Key Responsibilities

•Manage weekly, fortnightly and monthly pay cycles across 20 payroll entities for approximately 400 permanent employees and up to 600 seasonal casuals.
•Provide Single Touch Payroll reporting to the ATO and Payday Filing reporting to the IRD, and manage annual requirements including payroll tax and WorkCover insurance.
•Partner with HR and Finance on new starters, payroll changes, and out-of-cycle payments, and respond to payroll queries from employees and managers.
•Check and reconcile payroll reports prior to approval, and produce ad hoc termination and redundancy calculations with full manual accuracy.
•Coordinate annual payroll processes including merit increases, incentive payments, reportable fringe benefits, Employee Share Scheme reporting and parental leave administration, while driving continuous improvement to streamline payroll operations.

Key Requirements

•5+ years in an end-to-end payroll role of similar scale, with strong knowledge of Australian payroll legislation including PAYG, superannuation and WorkCover (New Zealand payroll experience preferred).
•Experience managing payroll processing across multiple entities and pay cycles (weekly, fortnightly and monthly).
•Experience with ADP Payforce (highly regarded), plus familiarity with Workforce and Deputy.
•Intermediate to advanced Excel skills for payroll reporting and analysis.
•A high level of numerical reasoning and analytical ability with strong attention to detail, plus the ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
