Key Responsibilities

  • •Drive initiatives on prototyping, showcase development, and experimentation with emerging technologies for SAP’s CTO mandate.
  • •Develop tooling and content for the SAP Architecture Center, including reference architectures across Platform, Data, and AI.
  • •Prototype and build proof-points to demonstrate feasibility, evaluate trade-offs, and influence strategic decisions.
  • •Contribute research, concept notes, and technical investigations, including AI Native North Star Architecture.
  • •Provide technology due diligence for buy/partner decisions by evaluating external products and recommending alignment with SAP’s architecture direction.
Travel: Low travel

Key Requirements

  • •A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • •8+ years of experience in software development and system design.
  • •Experience designing and developing distributed systems and applications.
  • •Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Java, Node.js/TypeScript, Python, or Go.
  • •Hands-on development experience with SAP Business Technology Platform and with integrating applications/services/data via APIs or event-driven approaches.
