Key Responsibilities

  • •Evaluate, improve, and debug in-house and commercial EDA tools and flows for CMOS integrated circuit physical layout and verification.
  • •Work closely with memory layout teams to resolve daily challenges and deliver complete solutions for future layouts.
  • •Proactively identify improvement opportunities and develop methodologies for reliable layout with faster time to market.
  • •Lead layout flow implementation using AI-assisted, automated, copilot-based, agentic, and rule-aware workflows for placement, routing, and optimization.
  • •Continuously evaluate and deploy new tools and technologies, and provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members.

Key Requirements

  • •5+ years of experience in layout automation, physical verification, or related domains.
  • •Experience customizing a design environment and developing automation methodologies and utilities to improve memory layout productivity.
  • •Hands-on experience with place and router flows for custom memory layouts using tools such as Cadence Virtuoso, Synopsys Custom Compiler, Pulsic Unity, and Itools.
  • •Working knowledge of physical verification flows and debugging issues such as DRC, ERC, LVS, DFM, and antenna rule deck problems.
  • •Programming fundamentals with exposure to Skill (Cadence), Perl, Python, and Tcl, plus working knowledge of Linux.
