Job Summary

Serve as a Business Analyst on Baird’s Advisory Technology team for Private Wealth Management, partnering with project management, developers, QA, product management, and vendors to deliver tools for financial advisors. Drive discovery and translate evolving business needs into requirements, process flows, diagrams, stakeholder maps, and user stories. Model and analyze data (including SQL), validate acceptance, build domain expertise across Corporate Finance/HR or Equities, and align stakeholders in agile delivery.

Key Responsibilities

•Drive business analysis across initiatives including new capabilities, platform enhancements, operational improvements, and data/reporting solutions.
•Plan and execute discovery activities, identify stakeholders, clarify objectives, and define success measures in complex or incomplete information environments.
•Translate business needs into documented business requirements, process flows, context diagrams, stakeholder maps, and user stories.
•Lead requirements validation and acceptance to ensure delivered solutions meet intended business outcomes.
•Develop domain expertise and communicate implications and tradeoffs across executives, IT leadership, developers, and external partners.

Key Requirements

•7+ years professional experience with 5+ years in Business Analysis.
•Experience writing business requirements, use cases, and user stories.
•Experience performing data analysis, including writing SQL queries and interpreting results to answer business questions and support client data needs.
•Experience working on projects to create, support, and enhance web applications; financial services experience strongly preferred.
•Experience working in agile or iterative delivery environments with exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
