Key Responsibilities

  • •Act as technical expert for dry etch process, hardware, and applications in NAND technology development, providing forward-looking trends and integration risk insight.
  • •Define and drive equipment roadmaps and mechanism-focused hardware roadmaps with suppliers for next-generation NAND dry etch.
  • •Benchmark dry etch capability against industry standards and translate external findings into internal advantage.
  • •Resolve the most complex NAND yield/defectivity/integration issues using deep expertise in plasma physics, surface interactions, and materials.
  • •Provide technical mentorship and lead multi-functional efforts across Technology Development, Process Integration, and Manufacturing; represent Micron’s interests in external technical forums/conferences.

Key Requirements

  • •PhD (≥15 years) or Master’s (≥17 years) in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Physics, or related fields with Dry Etch experience.
  • •Senior dry etch process development in R&D with technology transfer experience.
  • •Evidence of external/industry recognition and ability to represent the organization technically (e.g., patents, publications, invited talks, technical committee/consortia leadership).
  • •Deep plasma physics/chemistry and advanced etch scalability expertise, including HAR and tailored pulsing schemes, plus strong SPC/analysis mastery.
  • •Ability to drive equipment roadmaps and supplier co-development; enterprise-level influence and strong executive communication/presence.
