Job Summary

Support drafting and design activities for renewables-focused power and energy projects, providing 2D/3D CAD design, data collection, and documentation. Collaborate with engineers and project teams to produce plans, sections, and specifications, while ensuring codes and standards are followed and drawings are accurate across multiple locations.

Key Responsibilities

•Assist with research, design development, and preparation of drawings for transmission and distribution substations, power distribution systems, renewable energy facilities, and protection and control systems.
•Generate accurate and concise design phase deliverables including reports, technical memoranda, design manuals, plans and profiles, models, sections, details, specifications, and material lists.
•Collaborate with engineers to resolve design questions, incorporate markups, and revise drawings through multiple review cycles.
•Ensure drawings and designs adhere to applicable city, state, and federal codes, standards, and project specifications.
•Support project execution by collaborating with cross-functional project teams and participating in training to build drafting knowledge and standards.

Key Requirements

•High School Diploma or equivalent.
•2–4 years of relevant drafting or design support experience, preferably in power, energy, utilities, or related infrastructure fields.
•Working knowledge of drafting and design support principles, processes, and techniques.
•Familiarity with applicable codes, standards, and documentation practices.
•Proficiency with CADD software and basic technical tools.
