Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead comprehensive cost management activities across major programmes and projects, including feasibility studies, cost planning, and procurement strategy development.
  • •Conduct detailed cost analysis and value management assessments, leveraging techniques to optimize project outcomes and client value.
  • •Manage end-to-end procurement (pre-qualification, enquiry analysis, vendor selection, and contract preparation) with attention to detail.
  • •Oversee post-contract cost administration, including variance management, change control, cost checking, and valuation activities.
  • •Prepare and present monthly cost reports, lead value engineering and life cycle costing, negotiate project accounts, mentor teams, and pursue business development opportunities.

Key Requirements

  • •Proven cost/commercial management experience, ideally from a consultancy or client-side background.
  • •MRICS qualification preferred, with a minimum of 10 years’ post-qualification experience (PQE).
  • •Extensive experience delivering major programmes and projects, including leading, managing, and motivating teams.
  • •Strong knowledge of construction industry procurement routes, value management, and value engineering methodologies.
  • •Demonstrable understanding of construction contracts and ability to provide contractual advice, supported by strong financial acumen and analytical skills.
