Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead incident response and forensics across globally distributed ground stations and cloud infrastructure, coordinating response for security events affecting national security missions.
  • •Build and tune detection logic for SIEM platforms, including behavioral analytics and threat hunting queries tailored to satellite communications and ground station operations.
  • •Operate 24/7 security monitoring, triaging alerts and investigating suspicious activity across AWS multi-cloud environments and Linux-based systems.
  • •Proactively hunt advanced threats targeting satellite ground stations, RF communications, and space-based assets, and develop threat-hunting methodologies for unique attack vectors.
  • •Create incident response playbooks and develop automation (including Python/PowerShell scripts) to support automated response and security orchestration across distributed networks.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 120,000 - 190,000 annually

Key Requirements

  • •5+ years of hands-on SOC operations, incident response, or threat hunting experience.
  • •Experience with SIEM platforms (Splunk, Sentinel, Chronicle), including custom rule development and advanced search techniques.
  • •Digital forensics and malware analysis skills using tools like Volatility and YARA, plus hex editors.
  • •Proficiency in Python or PowerShell (or similar) for security automation and threat hunting.
  • •Knowledge of threat intelligence frameworks (MITRE ATT&CK, Diamond Model) and IOC analysis; ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI clearance.
