Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate the vehicle according to applicable state and federal transportation laws.
  • •Transport loads safely and on-time while obeying traffic laws and safety regulations.
  • •Maneuver truck and trailer into loading/unloading areas, following loading crew signals.
  • •Assist with loading/unloading and return equipment to designated areas, using specialized equipment when needed.
  • •Maintain delivery documentation (invoices, shipping bills of lading) and perform routine truck service checks, reporting malfunctions to the Shipping Supervisor.

Key Requirements

  • •Must hold a commercial driver’s license (Class A CDL) or chauffeur’s license appropriate for the vehicle weight.
  • •Pass required background and drug testing and pass a DOT physical (trucks driven are over 10k lbs).
  • •Must be at least 21 years old to operate the company vehicle.
  • •Ability to remain focused in a busy environment and speak professionally with customers and staff at delivery points.
  • •Ability to lift and move up to 40 pounds, perform prolonged periods sitting in a trailer cab, and travel frequently.
