Prepare and control all cost aspects of civil and building works from project inception through final account. Produce and update CVR reports, cost forecasts, cash-flow projections, and accurate Bills of Quantities from drawings and specifications. Perform quantity take-offs across civil, structural, MEP, and finishing works; verify IPCs and progress via site visits; administer contractual and commercial correspondence, variations, and contract close-out using FIDIC-based terms.

Key Responsibilities

•Prepare, monitor, and update Cost Value Reconciliation (CVR) reports, cost forecasts, and monthly cash flow projections.
•Prepare Bills of Quantities from drawings/specifications and conduct quantity take-offs for civil, structural, MEP, and related works within timelines.
•Manage Client Site Instructions and Variation Orders, including tracking scope changes and ensuring signed-off variations with payment/deduction alignment to the main contract.
•Verify subcontractor/supplier Interim Payment Certificates (IPCs), certify payment applications with retention/deductions, and conduct regular site visits to validate claimed progress.
•Administer contractual and commercial support, including letter writing, contract close-out confirmation of deliverables, snagging, and outstanding commercial matters.

Key Requirements

•Minimum 8–10 years’ quantity surveying experience, including 3–5 years in a Senior QS role.
•Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Engineering, plus a professional qualification in Quantity Surveying (or related).
•Strong working knowledge of quantity surveying principles, measurement methods, and standards (e.g., POMI, NRM1/NRM2, CESMM).
•Working knowledge of standard forms of contract (e.g., FIDIC Red/Yellow/Silver Book) from the employer’s side, especially payment, variations, EOT claims, and dispute resolution.
•Proficiency in cost management/estimation tools (e.g., CCS Candy, CostX, Buildsoft) and Microsoft Excel; familiarity with planning and drawing tools (e.g., Primavera P6, AutoCAD/Bluebeam).
