Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform accurate diagnostics and complete mechanical and cosmetic repairs on customer and internal vehicles.
  • •Inspect vehicles to meet CarMax Quality Standards and complete state inspections when required.
  • •Manage repair orders and ensure accuracy in labor, parts, and billing documentation.
  • •Utilize proprietary and universal software systems to support repair work.
  • •Maintain a clean, organized workspace and provide functional expertise to support associates and managers while following EH&S requirements.

  • •Completion of CarMax New Associate Orientation and Kronos Training for Hourly Associates.
  • •Ability to read, interpret, and accurately transcribe data for record-keeping.

  • •Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand or walk for extended periods; flexible availability for nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • •Where required by State/Local law, maintain ASE Certifications in the listed areas (A4, A5, A6, A7, A1, A3, A8, A2).
