Job Summary

Join AECOM’s Transportation team as a Traffic Engineer or CAD Designer working on highway transportation projects across the southern US. You’ll contribute to signing and pavement markings, traffic signal design, and interchanges, using Bentley MicroStation/Open Roads on Design/Build and other alternative delivery projects. Hybrid in-office/remote work with potential relocation assistance.

Key Responsibilities

•Design and oversee traffic engineering tasks for highway transportation projects, including signing/pavement markings and traffic signal design.
•Collaborate on large Design/Build or Alternative Delivery projects and complex interchanges.
•Utilize Bentley MicroStation and OpenRoads for CAD design work and traffic design deliverables.
•Support signing/pavement marking design and highway design efforts across multiple offices in the southern US.
•Coordinate with project teams to ensure compliance with DOT standards and AASHTO/ MUTCD guidelines.

Key Requirements

•BS in Engineering and/or demonstrated equivalency of education and/or experience (CAD Designers)
•BS in Engineering + 2 years of related experience (Junior Level Engineers)
•BS in Engineering + 6 years of related experience (Mid-Level Engineers)
•BS in Engineering + 10 years of related experience (Senior Level Engineers / Task Leads)
•EIT Certification or PE License
•State DOT experience
•Knowledge and prior use of the AASHTO Green Book and MUTCD
