Key Responsibilities

  • •Assist the Rolling Stock Team Leader with preventive and corrective maintenance, minor modifications, and engineering support for rolling stock and maintenance vehicles.
  • •Carry out routine inspections, identify surface defects, replace consumable items, and perform minor repairs and technical cleaning.
  • •Test electromechanical assemblies, replace and install electrical/electronic parts, and perform alignment, fitting, and assembly using appropriate tools and instruments.
  • •Perform fault diagnostics and component replacement (repair in situ or inside depot), and follow maintenance procedures and operating rules.
  • •Execute scheduled tasks such as wheel truing and bogie overhauls, maintain accurate maintenance records in a computerized maintenance management system, and follow Permit To Work and emergency/shift duties when required.

Key Requirements

  • •Vocational trade certificate or diploma in electrical or mechanical engineering (or equivalent).
  • •Knowledge of maintaining and repairing rolling stock components such as car body, bogies, suspension, couplers/draft gears, propulsion and braking systems, electrical equipment, and train control/monitoring.
  • •Ability to use and calibrate electrical, electronic, and mechanical test equipment and PC for rolling stock maintenance.
  • •Good eyesight and normal colour vision.
  • •Strong organisational skills, detail-oriented working style, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced team environment.
