Key Responsibilities

  • •Own fraud strategy across business onboarding, SMB lending, business deposits, and commercial payments, designing decisioning around entity, beneficial owners, and transaction behavior as a single risk surface.
  • •Lead business identity strategy at onboarding, including entity verification, beneficial ownership verification, EIN/TIN validation, and detection of synthetic/shell and recently formed entities.
  • •Design detection for commercial payment fraud covering business email compromise, vendor impersonation/invoice fraud, payroll diversion, check fraud, and risk-tiered decisioning across ACH, wire, and real-time payments.
  • •Build first-party and credit-abuse defense for SMB lending including bust-out, loan stacking, misrepresented financials, falsified bank statements, straw ownership, and clean unwind procedures.
  • •Build the analytics layer in SQL and Python for entity resolution and feature tables, and ship strategy changes through the rules engine with governance, monitoring, and escalation.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 137,600 - 172,000 annually

Key Requirements

  • •BA/BS in Statistics, Information Systems, Mathematics, Data Science, or related fields (or equivalent experience), plus 5-8 years in fraud analytics.
  • •Hands-on KYB orchestration and business identity work, including beneficial ownership verification, TIN matching, and registry/vendor data tools.
  • •Strong command of business fraud typologies including synthetic/shell businesses, straw ownership, bust-out, loan stacking, BEC/vendor invoice fraud, payroll diversion, check fraud, and mule activity.
  • •Proven entity resolution experience linking bad actors across businesses, owners, devices, and bank accounts to distinguish new fraud from recycled infrastructure.
  • •Ability to evaluate fraud-vs-UX trade-offs and influence stakeholders to drive end-to-end delivery of complex initiatives.
