Key Responsibilities

  • •Own lifecycle operations, usage reporting, and schema contracts, including how they are versioned and migrated.
  • •Integrate systems that don’t fit together directly, including third-party billing and partner integrations.
  • •Coordinate cross-functionally when the control plane is the shared integration point.
  • •Improve tooling and processes to keep the platform maintainable and reliable.
  • •Participate in the control plane oncall rotation for the services you own.

Key Requirements

  • •5+ years building and operating production backend systems.
  • •Strong systems breadth: reason across interacting systems, failure modes, and consistency boundaries.
  • •Design APIs and contracts other teams depend on, including versioning, backward compatibility, and deprecation.
  • •Comfort with asynchronous, event-driven systems (idempotency, retries, partial failure, eventual consistency).
  • •Debug complex, cross-stack issues (networking, performance, data integrity) and understand where security boundaries belong.
