Job Summary

Lead end-to-end migration of complex on-prem SAP landscapes to Microsoft Azure, designing highly available Azure landing zones and networking for SAP traffic. Architect database and systems migration paths for ECC, S/4HANA, BW, and PI/PO, and manage SAP Basis operations like transport, integrations, SSO mapping, backup/recovery, and performance troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities

•Evaluate existing on-prem SAP landscapes, size Azure CPU/RAM, optimize storage IOPS, and design Azure landing zones, VNets/subnets, ExpressRoute, and NSGs for SAP traffic.
•Lead migration roadmaps and execution, including lift-and-shift, OS/DB migrations, and S/4HANA conversion strategies using tools like SUM with DMO.
•Perform export/import and database migrations (e.g., AnyDB to HANA; Oracle to Azure SQL/HANA) and deploy/configure SAP VMs with Managed Disks, Azure NetApp Files, and Azure Backup/ASR for HA/DR.
•Architect OS/DB migrations from on-prem MS SQL Server/AnyDB to SAP HANA on Azure, and design MS SQL workload migrations using Azure DMS, log shipping, or Always On availability groups.
•Manage standard SAP Basis operations and reliability: transport management (TMS), client copies/system refreshes, integrations/SAP Cloud Connector and Entra ID SSO mapping, backup/recovery, HSR, MDC, delta merges, memory management, and performance troubleshooting.

Key Requirements

•10+ years of experience in SAP Basis administration, including 3-5 years focused on hyperscaler cloud migrations (specifically Azure).
•Lead technical architecture, planning, and execution for migrating complex on-prem SAP landscapes to Microsoft Azure IaaS and PaaS.
•Deep proficiency in Linux (RHEL/SUSE) and Windows Server environments, with strong SQL/HANA database administration skills.
•Experience with SAP tooling such as SAP SUM DMO and SWPM for OS/DB migrations and conversion strategies.
•Hold relevant certifications, including one of: SAP Certified Technology Associate - System Administration, SAP Certified Technology Specialist - OS/DB Migration for SAP HANA, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or Azure for SAP Workloads Specialty (AZ-120).
