Key Responsibilities

•Team Leadership: Manage and grow a global team of network engineers, fostering a culture of excellence and high performance.
•Network Design & Operations: Design, build, and operate Stripe’s global corporate offices, support centers, partner networks, and PoPs.
•Automation & Tooling: Help design, build, and deploy automated provisioning, remediation, and telemetry tools to drive efficiency.
•Operational Excellence: Establish metrics to track operational efficiencies and bring a process-driven mindset to the team.
•Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with Security, Engineering, IT, and Operations teams to develop and implement infrastructure solutions.

Key Requirements

•2+ years of experience managing direct reports who are geographically dispersed.
•Deep knowledge of routing protocols (BGP), Layer 2 technologies (link/chassis aggregation), and network security (IPSec VPNs).
•Hands-on experience with Junos and Juniper routers, switches, and firewall hardware.
•Automation skills: demonstrated success building internal tools and automation at scale using Python or other scripting languages.
•Comfort with Linux/Unix operating systems and the ability to troubleshoot "the life of a packet" from client to server.
