Key Responsibilities

  • •Design, create, and maintain software and systems to improve availability, scalability, and efficiency of Thumbtack’s services
  • •Set the architectural direction of infrastructure and platform services for the engineering organization
  • •Design and implement deployment, change, service, and infrastructure management tools and processes
  • •Troubleshoot and debug critical systems across the SDLC
  • •Participate in on-call duties and contribute to capacity planning and performance optimization

Pay and Benefits

Salary: 180,200 - 233,200 annually

Key Requirements

  • •5+ years of experience managing infrastructure and systems
  • •Extensive fluency in AWS and Linux
  • •Proficiency reading, writing, and debugging code in Python, Go, PHP, and JavaScript
  • •Experience designing, analyzing, and troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems (DNS, TLS, HTTP/S, TCP/IP)
  • •Experience instrumenting, operating, and observing distributed microservices in production cloud environments
