Key Responsibilities

  • •Collect and identify eggs in cage houses by marking with hen number and/or using a scanner; place eggs in flats and record number of eggs laid per flock.
  • •Provide daily flock care by calculating and recording feed amounts, weighing feed, distributing feed to hens, and using digital scales to weigh sample birds.
  • •Collect weekly lab samples using boot swabs (environment) and cleft pallet swabs (birds).
  • •Monitor flock for signs of injury/illness and report to lead/manager; collect, record, and dispose of flock mortality.
  • •Maintain flock environment by flushing water lines weekly, maintaining pen bedding and nests, and clearing dust from equipment as needed.

Key Requirements

  • •Must have at least 12 months of consecutive work history with one employer and no employment gaps greater than 6 months in the past 36 months.
