Job Summary

Safely operate and maintain coater equipment at the start of the photovoltaic solar module manufacturing process. Monitor machine parameters and alarms, perform preventative maintenance and intermediate troubleshooting, and complete basic quality control. Use statistical process control (SPC) concepts and procedures to maintain process control, coordinate with cross-functional teams on testing, and provide communication and reporting during shift changes. Train others on tasks you’ve been certified for.

•Adheres to safety procedures and maintains good housekeeping.
•Safely operates and maintains tools and equipment to meet quality and productivity targets.
•Conducts preventative maintenance and performs maintenance on equipment using hand tools and instrumentation.
•Monitors equipment computers to track parameters and alarms, and uses process data (including SPC) to maintain process control.
•Interfaces with cross-functional teams on approved tests, provides shift-change communication and reporting, and ensures inventory levels and appropriate waste disposal.

Travel: Low travel

Key Requirements

•High school diploma or GED (preference for an associate degree or certificate in a technical discipline).
•2+ years of manufacturing experience (or equivalent substitute experience).
•Maintain a safety-first mindset and follow safety procedures and good housekeeping.
•Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, including math skills to apply Statistical Process Control (SPC) concepts.
•Ability to interface with equipment systems (machine control panels/computer applications) and perform basic maintenance using hand tools and measurement tools.
