Serve as the safety subject matter expert embedded across engineering and manufacturing to integrate electrical, machine, and process safety into modular integrated electronics buildings and power distribution equipment. Represent safety on design teams by reviewing 3D models and specifications, own technical safety programs (including LOTO), perform hazard and risk analyses, ensure code compliance to standards like OSHA and NFPA 70E, and support site assessments through field deployment.

Key Responsibilities

•Represent safety on design teams by reviewing 3D models, drawings, and specifications to identify hazards early in the design cycle.
•Own technical safety programs, including electrical safety, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), and machine safety.
•Conduct hazard identification, risk assessments (e.g., FMEA, FTA), and failure mode analysis for products, equipment, and facility systems.
•Develop and maintain safety documentation such as safety cases, hazard logs, and compliance reports.
•Ensure code compliance to applicable safety codes, regulatory requirements, and engineering standards (e.g., OSHA, NFPA 70E, IEC, UL listings) and support site assessments, walkthroughs, and inspections.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering (or closely related).

•Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications for electrical and mechanical systems.
•Ability to solve safety-related engineering problems using a first-principles approach; strong analytical and communication skills; must participate in a drug and alcohol program (safety-sensitive role).
