Key Responsibilities

  • •Manage a caseload of Small Claims Track cases and plan/organise workloads to meet court deadlines.
  • •Deliver agreed performance targets and quality standards.
  • •Analyse evidence to develop initial case strategy on liability and quantum and support broader strategy.
  • •Conduct telephone discussions and negotiations to pursue efficient settlement and apportionment of costs.
  • •Proof witnesses, draft court documents and statements, instruct/brief/liaise with counsel, and maintain accurate case management and billing records in line with ISO 9001.

Key Requirements

  • •Established experience in law through further education or experience.
  • •File handling experience within a law practice or insurer.
  • •Good understanding of the Highway Code and basic Road Traffic Act principles.
  • •Ability to plan and prioritise workloads in a process-driven environment.
  • •Basic knowledge of the Court Practice Rules and strong written/verbal communication skills.
