Job Summary

Program and run high-precision CNC machining for quick-turn and recurring production parts supporting launch hardware. Set up, operate, and prove-out CNC mill (horizontal/vertical spindle), CNC lathe, and manual machine tools, modifying components as needed. Collaborate with engineers and designers to review part processes, improve quality and efficiency, provide early feedback, and help sustain a safety-focused, continuous-improvement shop environment at Cape Canaveral.

•Program and machine high-precision quick-turn projects and recurring production jobs with attention to detail.
•Machine raw stock and weldments and modify existing components.
•Review part processes to drive efficiency and improve quality in partnership with engineers and designers.
•Complete machining operations using blueprints, drawings, verbal instructions, and models.
•Set up, operate, and prove-out CNC and manual machine equipment while enforcing safety culture and supporting continuous improvement and training.

Travel: Medium travel

Key Requirements

•High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
•8+ years of professional experience setting up and operating CNC mills and/or lathes.
•8+ years of professional experience reading G-code and programming CNC machines.
•Ability to run multi-axis and multi-tasking programs (e.g., 3+2, turn/mill).
•Ability to read engineering prints and interpret GD&T feature tolerances.
