Job Summary

Lead end-to-end architectural design and strategic implementation of Dow’s Azure data initiatives, including the Azure Databricks Lakehouse Platform. Drive solution lifecycle management from analysis and design through build, testing, deployment, adoption, and retirement. Mentor engineers, establish coding and quality standards, and optimize performance and cost for mission-critical ML, streaming, AI, BI, and data-powered web applications. Own CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code using Azure DevOps/Git and Azure services.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead end-to-end technical design and scoping of high-impact projects, translating business needs into scalable architectural blueprints.
•Architect and deliver advanced Azure cloud data solutions, optimizing performance and cost and resolving complex bottlenecks.
•Serve as a technical mentor by establishing coding standards, performing complex code reviews, and driving adoption of best practices.
•Own CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure components using Azure DevOps/Git, championing Infrastructure as Code for reliable and secure deployments.
•Collaborate across IT and data teams to analyze requirements, manage solution lifecycle (buy vs. build, testing, adoption, retirement), and monitor SLA/OLA/KPI compliance.

Key Requirements

•5+ years demonstrated experience architecting and implementing enterprise-grade data solutions on Azure, including Azure Data Factory, Logic Apps, Function Apps, Power Platform, and Databricks.
•Minimum 5 years of professional experience in Platform Engineering, Software Engineering, or a closely related field.
•Ability to work legally in the United States; no visa sponsorship/support is available for this position.
•Experience diagnosing and tuning distributed data processing workloads for performance and scalability in large-scale, high-volume environments.
•Experience with orchestration and polyglot persistence, including ADF/Databricks Workflows (or Airflow) and SQL Server, Cosmos DB, and Neo4j.
