Job Summary

Coordinate production operations to deliver cost-effective clinker and cement while meeting quality-control specs and plant production goals. Plan and schedule mill and kiln operations with maintenance, quality control, shipping, and production teams; oversee quarry workforce scheduling. Lead safety compliance, conduct inspections and training benchmarks, manage employee/contractor performance, and monitor inventories, alternative fuel shipments, and key operations in the control room.

Key Responsibilities

•Promote and follow plant safety guidelines; ensure compliance and training in safety procedures.
•Plan and schedule mill and kiln operations with maintenance, quality control, shipping, and production employees.
•Supervise, evaluate, and inspect work/job performance of employees and contractors; monitor attendance records.
•Monitor control room operations and raw mill/finish mill-grinding operations; assist operators and shift supervisors with operational problems.
•Coordinate inventories for raw materials, fuels, finished products, kiln refractories, grinding media and aid chemicals; assist with annual budgets and adjust activities to meet budget targets.

Key Requirements

•H.S. Diploma or GED required.
•Minimum 4 years and a Bachelor’s degree in science, engineering, or related field.
•Minimum 7 years of experience in a supervisory position in a production department at a cement or related industry plant facility.
•Ability to read warning labels, instructions, and signs; make decisions using sound judgment.
•Proficient English communication and problem-solving skills, with ability to organize and prioritize work and lead/manage others.
