Key Responsibilities

  • •Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks for backend services and APIs.
  • •Create and execute backend API tests, including security validation for authentication flows (OAuth, JWT, API keys).
  • •Validate RESTful (and SOAP) APIs for functionality, performance, and schema integrity (JSON/XML).
  • •Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines such as Jenkins and GitHub Actions.
  • •Analyze test results, identify defect root causes, collaborate with developers, and conduct regression/smoke/integration testing.

Key Requirements

  • •5–7 years of backend/API testing experience with hands-on work using Playwright.
  • •Proficiency in automation scripting with JavaScript or TypeScript.
  • •Solid knowledge of REST APIs including HTTP methods, headers, status codes, and API versioning/control using Git.
  • •Familiarity with Agile/Scrum and test management tools such as Jira, Xray, HP ALM, or Practi Test.
  • •Experience building and maintaining automated test frameworks and analyzing defects/root causes.
