Key Responsibilities

  • •Coordinate and establish detailed cost estimates for construction projects by conferring with designers, consultants, and contractors.
  • •Prepare and/or facilitate detailed cost estimates for all phases of design and/or construction.
  • •Supervise quantity surveys and cost evaluations for design documents, contract drawings, specifications, or contract changes.
  • •Review and report on contract estimates and recommend whether they are appropriate for client implementation.
  • •Review contractor proposals, compare to scope of work, delineate cost by trade and discipline, and participate in cost negotiations.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a major in architecture, construction management, engineering, business, environmental services, or related coursework.
  • •5+ years of full-time technical experience in estimating for architecture, electrical, mechanical, or plumbing.
  • •Direct experience with large-scale electrical, mechanical, and heavy civil projects.
  • •Proven ability to uphold workplace safety and comply with health, safety, drug/alcohol, and harassment policies.
  • •Responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources, and conduct in line with the Code of Conduct and related policies.
