Job Summary

Manage CAMO oversight of aircraft airworthiness for QantasLink’s Dash 8 and A220 fleets within a newly expanded Maintenance Watch team. Lead reporting, assessment, and defect rectification/deferral to support safe, compliant, cost-effective operations, while coordinating with AMOs, engineering groups, Regional Operations Control, and Flying Operations to protect on-time performance and minimize engineering-related AOG durations.

Key Responsibilities

•Manage CAMO oversight of fleet airworthiness through reporting, assessment, and management of rectification/deferral of defects.
•Ensure safe, compliant, and cost-effective maintenance execution for fleets under control, including oversight and decision rights for AMO services to the CAMO.
•Monitor disruptions and provide estimates for rectification timeframes, downtime, and alternative return-to-service outcomes with risks addressed.
•Coordinate with QantasLink Planning, internal/external AMOs, Regional Operation Control, and Flying Operations Leadership to minimize delays and protect on-time performance.
•Ensure daily clearance of open defects and MEL items and maintain daily event data and shift log/reporting of procedural or technical issues.

Key Requirements

•Experience as a LAME B1 or B2 with at least five years in a Line (desirable) or Base Maintenance environment, or prior Maintenance Watch/technical support experience.
•B1 or B2 LAME type rating on Dash 8 and/or B717, and/or A220 (desirable) or B1/B2 type rating on similar aircraft.
•Strategic and analytical problem-solver with strong time management, particularly under pressure.
•Ability to communicate effectively with all levels and work as part of a team to deliver safe, compliant outcomes.
•Commitment to safety, quality, and process compliance, including experience managing AOG recovery of aircraft.
