Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide data collection, compilation, and analysis from on-site observations, surveys, GIS data, subsurface utilities, and hydrologic analyses for project development, design, and construction.
  • •Apply highway engineering design principles to identify improvements across project phases including alternatives analysis, preliminary engineering, final design, construction, and operation.
  • •Develop highway construction plans, specifications, and cost estimates and coordinate project-specific plan development.
  • •Involve themselves from project inception to completion in managing design of infrastructure projects, including rehabilitation, reconstruction, grading, drainage, and phasing.
  • •Oversee cross-functional teams of engineers, planners, and scientists to execute project work, manage budgets, track hours/expenses, and ensure QA/QC.
Travel: Low travel

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
  • •7+ years of relevant post-education experience in transportation and highway design.
  • •Pennsylvania Professional Engineer’s license.
  • •Proficient with highway engineering principles, practices, processes, and permitting.
  • •Experience with transportation planning, highway design, and construction consultation, including rehabilitation, reconstruction, and new design projects.
