Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead hydrological contributions for external and internal clients across national infrastructure and flood risk management projects.
  • •Provide flood modelling services using national fluvial and pluvial modelling approaches to support FCERM studies and strategic infrastructure initiatives.
  • •Deliver hydrology and water resources management services to UK water companies, supporting water resource and drought plans and new water supply assets.

Key Requirements

  • •Detailed understanding of UK hydrological techniques, including knowledge of recent updates and active fields of development, with a track record in undertaking high flow studies.
  • •Experience carrying out reviews and calculations to satisfy UK statutory bodies (EA, SEPA, NRW or DfI).
  • •Commercial awareness, including identifying and developing business opportunities and preparing winning proposals.
  • •Track record of leading and winning work, demonstrating understanding of client needs, opportunities, and challenges.
  • •Excellent report-writing and technical/numerical/analytical skills, with an eye for detail and ability to solve challenging hydrological problems; chartership with a relevant professional body (or commitment to work towards).
