Job Summary

Lead planning and detailed design for roads and highways infrastructure, including arterial roads, interchanges, junctions, and access roads. Ensure compliance with Abu Dhabi authority standards, specifications, and international best practices by reviewing and approving deliverables, drawings, reports, and design calculations. Coordinate multidisciplinary design interfaces with utilities, drainage, traffic, structures, street lighting, and public realm, supporting authority submissions, stakeholder reviews, and project milestones.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead the planning and detailed design of roads and highways infrastructure, including arterial roads, local roads, interchanges, junctions, and access roads.
•Ensure designs comply with Abu Dhabi authority standards, manuals, specifications, and international best practice.
•Review and approve technical deliverables, drawings, reports, and design calculations to ensure quality and consistency.
•Coordinate with internal and external disciplines (utilities, drainage, traffic, structures, street lighting, landscaping, public realm) and resolve technical conflicts.
•Support authority submissions and approvals through design reviews, technical meetings, and timely responses to comments; provide technical advice to clients.
•Provide guidance and mentoring to engineers and senior engineers within the Roads & Highways team.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (Master’s degree preferred).
•15+ years of professional experience in roads and highways design.
•Extensive experience delivering Abu Dhabi-based infrastructure and land development projects.
•Strong understanding of Abu Dhabi authority standards, approval processes, and regulatory requirements.
•Proven experience coordinating and managing multi-disciplinary design teams.
