Key Responsibilities

  • •Act as the global technical authority for mechanical and thermal systems within Eaton’s Data Center Segment.
  • •Translate product design requirements into manufacturable solutions, ensuring Design for Manufacturing (DFM) alignment with R&D teams.
  • •Lead the design, validation, and review of advanced data center cooling architectures and provide expert guidance on systems and infrastructure.
  • •Define and promote global best practices for air-based, liquid-based, and hybrid cooling solutions, including emerging liquid cooling and immersion interfaces.
  • •Develop and govern global mechanical design standards and produce/ review technical documentation aligned with international standards; mentor mechanical engineers globally.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related discipline from an accredited institution.
  • •10+ years of mechanical engineering experience with significant exposure to mission-critical facilities and data center environments.
  • •Deep technical expertise in data center mechanical systems, including HVAC, chilled water plants, pumps, heat exchangers, motors, and BMS integration.
  • •Strong proficiency with engineering and simulation tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, and CFD platforms.
  • •Chartered Engineer status or active progress toward chartership.
