Job Summary

Own end-to-end content strategy for product experiences at Relay, from framing key concepts to polishing microcopy that builds consumer trust and accessibility. As the company’s first Content Designer, partner with Product Design, Product Research, and cross-functional teams to run user research, experimentation, and data-informed iteration. Define language systems, style guides, and AI-enabled conventions, support crisis messaging during incidents, and help enable consistent multi-language communication.

Key Responsibilities

•Own end-to-end content strategy and execution across products, from key concepts to microcopy polishing.
•Define and champion language standards that improve engagement, understanding, trust, accessibility, and behavior change.
•Conduct user research, experimentation, and data analysis to identify user needs, attitudes, and behaviors.
•Support incident response with crisis messaging and recovery communications when needed.
•Establish language conventions and systems (e.g., style guides, libraries, tools) to ensure consistency and enable multi-language experiences, including occasional marketing/graphic design and copywriting support.

Key Requirements

•Proven track record delivering exceptional content design, including experience building software and working in multidisciplinary product teams.
•Experience applying user-centered thinking—advocating for user needs while balancing business requirements.
•Comfort working in ambiguous, fast-paced environments, adapting pragmatically while maintaining speed and quality.
•Past experience in a zero-to-one environment and/or writing for non-native speakers is highly desirable.
•Ability to independently deliver both small graphic/product design pieces and contribute to design and language systems.
