Job Summary

Oversee the JEAP secretariat’s program cycle and help coordinate governance, meetings, technical working groups, and cross-stakeholder progress across WHO AFRO, WHO EMRO, and Africa CDC. Monitor budgets and workplans, manage reporting and risk, support proposals and resource mobilization, and serve as a technical focal point for service providers. Produce communication and knowledge products to strengthen visibility, learning, and accountability for health emergency preparedness and response.

Key Responsibilities

•Oversee JEAP secretariat governance and management structures and facilitate implementation.
•Prepare and facilitate weekly focal point meetings and quarterly steering committee meetings with senior leadership.
•Facilitate monthly meetings across six technical working groups and ensure follow-up on workplans.
•Track JEAP progress, budgets, and workplans; provide regular reports and updates for transparency and accountability.
•Identify partnership risks and support mitigation strategies; assist with proposals, event organization, and technical liaison for service providers.

Key Requirements

•First university degree in business administration, information management, public health, epidemiology, economics, international development, or life sciences.
•At least two (2) years of proven international program or project management experience, including experience in public health development and/or emergency management.
•Exceptional project management skills to achieve consensus and define paths forward from ambiguity.
•Strong communication, facilitation, writing, and documentation skills, including the ability to simplify complex ideas.
•Essential language requirement: expert knowledge of English and working knowledge of French (or expert French with working knowledge of English).
