Key Responsibilities

  • •Own the technical strategy, architecture, and roadmap for the Field Verification platform end to end, setting direction for a domain without dedicated engineering leadership.
  • •Lead and grow the existing cross-functional team and build the organization as scope expands, including hiring and developing engineers and Engineering Managers.
  • •Move the platform from keep-the-lights-on operation to deliberate, prioritized development.
  • •Build operational efficiency features for field officers, including trip and route optimization, task allocation, and capacity management.
  • •Own the client-facing surface (APIs/webhooks and back office) and deliver a native mobile experience, ensuring verification data is structured and auditable for compliance and multi-country expansion.

Key Requirements

  • •10+ years of overall software engineering experience with substantial hands-on production engineering and strong backend depth (Java, Spring Boot).
  • •At least 5 years of engineering leadership, including managing Engineering Managers.
  • •Cross-disciplinary credibility across backend, web, and mobile (you’ve built platforms used by multiple internal groups).
  • •Translate operational requirements into engineering solutions while collaborating effectively with product and business stakeholders.
  • •Strong plus: experience with location/geospatial data and route/trip/delivery optimization, and building compliance/KYC/verification tooling.
