Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide technical oversight and delivery of design packages across multiple project stages within traction power and substation projects.
  • •Coordinate technical delivery with the project team; guide designers, early careers, and junior engineers; liaise with clients and stakeholders.
  • •Develop concept and detailed design documentation including calculations, reports and specifications; perform independent technical checks for compliance with standards.
  • •Conduct site visits and surveys to inform design development; develop construction specifications and provide construction stage design support.
  • •Review and provide technical guidance on outputs produced by others, ensuring quality and safety.
  • •Travel to site for construction phase as required to ensure works align with design intent.

Key Requirements

  • •Experience in traction power and high voltage substation design.
  • •Experience delivering projects across feasibility, outline and detailed design stages.
  • •Experience acting as CRE / Lead Engineer is advantageous; where prior CRE experience has not been gained, support and mentoring will be provided to enable progression to that level of responsibility.
